Sarah Jane Semrad (aka Aurah the Adept) is a detail-oriented creative whose work is guided by a lifelong study of spiritual and metaphysical traditions. She finds joy in helping others create balance and flow while supporting thoughtful, meaningful approaches to personal and creative projects through her consulting practice Living Mandala Consulting, LLC, where she draws inspiration from the mandala, a sacred and balanced arrangement of images and symbols that invites clarity, focus, beauty, and joy. She believes that each person lives at the center of their own mandala, continually shaping and harmonizing their inner and outer worlds.
The creative name Aurah carries multiple layers of meaning. It is the name of one of the Three Adepts at Magic who appear in Glinda of Oz, the last book in the Oz series; it is associated with a Greek goddess of the dawn breeze; and when the final h is dropped, it becomes aura, one’s luminous emanation. Sarah Jane adopted "Aurah" as her creative and metaphysical name through a profound initiation experience in 2016. While she deeply values her 'Clark Kent' (aka birth) name, Aurah serves as a personal reminder of her essence as a creative and artistic being: an explorer of consciousness, a writer, and a seeker of understanding.
Her interests span writing, dance, music (flute), and the study of diverse arts and sciences. She holds an MA in spiritual and metaphysical studies and a BA in chemistry. A 2/4 Mental Projector and insightful astrologer, she blends intuitive insight with analytical precision in her creative and professional pursuits. A mother, wife, and lifelong learner, she approaches her work and relationships with curiosity and a commitment to conscious living.
Artist : Cathey Miller
Cathey Miller was born in the Bay Area of Northern California. She attended middle and high school in Richardson, TX , then returned to California to attend Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. Upon graduation in 1985, she moved to New York City where she freelanced as an editorial illustrator.
In 1987, she moved to Dallas establishing her own art studio which catered to interior designers, later branching out into theatrical scenery, and scenic painting for film and television. Her commercial art career is in its 37th year. Since 2001, the subject of her personal paintings has been the mythical planet of Cathedonia. Miller’s amateur studies in particle physics convinced her that she existed simultaneously in a parallel universe, flying around in a spaceship, drinking big gulps, exploring the galaxy, and saving the earth from monsters. Telling stories through paintings is Miller's way of connecting to the real and imagined world.
