Now on view by appointment through June 13! Contact Aurah to purchase fine art prints, signed and numbered oracle decks, mandala casting cloths and T-shirts.
You are invited to step beyond the familiar road ... and experience the original magical characters from the original Wizard of Oz books, published between 1900-1920 by L Frank Baum in the EAST DOCK complex where the world of Oz is reimagined through symbol, story, and art. Come see the original works from the Living Mandala of Oz Oracle Deck—each piece drawn from public domain illustration, each image part of a greater design. Brought into vivid technicolor by Cathey Miller, many of these works are seen in color for the very first time.

Background: Inspired by the original Oz books written by L. Frank Baum at the turn of the 20th century, Living Mandala of Oz invites viewers to rediscover Oz through its original stories and imagery. The project draws from the classic black and white storybook illustrations created by W. W. Denslow (1900) and John R. Neill (1904–1920), all of which are now firmly in the public domain and free to be reimagined for a new generation, over 100 years later. While these artists helped define the world of Oz, much of their work has been largely forgotten over time. Through new hand-rendered interpretations by Dallas-based artist Cathey Miller, these historic images are brought back to life in vivid color (many for the first time!!) and reinterpreted through symbolic, spiritual, and esoteric themes in the oracle deck guidebook, while still honoring the spirit of the originals. Alongside a handful of Miller’s original artwork, these restored illustrations form the foundation of theLiving Mandala of Oz oracle deck, created entirely from Baum’s fourteen-book Oz canon, including the iconic The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and the thirteen books that followed. By returning to the original texts and imagery, Living Mandala of Oz offers both an artistic revival and a fresh way of experiencing Oz, bringing new life and meaning to a vibrant visual tradition that has just been waiting to be rediscovered!
